Floorball

Floorball is a fast-paced, indoor team sport similar to hockey but played with a plastic ball and lightweight sticks. The game features five field players and a goalkeeper per team, and is played on a hard floor with a small, low goal. It's known for its emphasis on speed, skill, and teamwork.

Floorball - Development

Floorball - Novice

Evaluations will be held October 14th and October 21st to determine program level and location. Athletes may be moved to a different floorball program based on evaluations. Sticks provided Athletes must supply: Sport Goggles, shin guards (soccer), jack/jill protection, runners Age 14+

Floorball - Intermediate

Frequently Asked Questions

What kind of gear and equipment do I need to have for practice?

Sticks are supplied but you will need:
Hockey helmet with full face mask – this is a MUST to have
Gloves – can be hockey gloves, ball hockey gloves but need to be something with some hand protection
Jack/Jill protection
Shin Guards – soccer ones
Indoor runners to change into
Comfortable clothing – no jeans

Do you need experience to participate in this sport?

No! All new and returning athletes are welcome to participate and compete in this sport. 

What happens if there is inclement weather?

Weather cancellations are determined on the day of the program. If severe weather is forecasted during program time, the program will typically be cancelled (snowstorms, extreme cold warnings, etc.)
