Athletes will follow the appropriate equipment
specifications outlined in the FIS rulebook. Helmets are MANDATORY and must be worn by athletes at all times during training competition for all events, no exception. A label attesting conformity with FIS specifications is mandatory. Only helmets with hard shells are padding covering the head and ears are permitted. Helmets with spoilers or edges that stick out are not permitted.
Athletes will also need to dress to the weather. This is an outdoor winter sport.
Athletes can also bring water to drink.

Yes, previous knowledge and experience of downhill skiing is required prior to joining this program. It is NOT a learn to ski program however athletes will receive instruction to advance their skills in the sport.
Downhill, Giant Slalom, Slalom, & Super-G
Yes. Most programs will have a Novice, Intermediate,
and Advanced. The difference between the levels is in the number of gates, Vertical Drop, and Slope Gradient. To move up levels that would depend on the coach and if they think the athlete can perform in the higher level and to give them a new challenge.
Weather cancellations are determined on the day of the program. If severe weather is forecasted during program time, the program will typically be cancelled (thunderstorms, heavy smoke, etc.)
If the program does go ahead (ex. light rain), dress for the weather! Make sure to wear appropriate clothing and check the forecast.
